Teams from U STIRLING (UK), CNR (Italy), Balaton Limnological Research Institute (Hungary), the Central-Transdanubian Water Directorate (Hungary) and VITO (Belgium) performed in-situ (optical and water constituents) measurements during
Landsat-8 acquisition on 9, 16 and 25 July 2014
HICO acquisition on 9, 11, 17, 18 and 21 July 2014
APEX acquisition on 19 and 25 July 2014

One of the raw and uncorrected quicklooks acquired with APEX on 19 July 2014 from Lake Balaton and the surrounding land. APEX hyperspectral images will be used to study water quality at Lake Balaton and the adjacency effect caused by the surrounding land. APEX hyperspectral images of Kis Balaton will be used to study macrophytes. Furthermore, APEX hyperspectral images wll be used to simulate upcoming satellite images (Sentinel-2, Sentinel-3, EnMAP and PRISMA)
Teams of U STIRLING, CNR and VITO arrived at Lake and Kis Balaton in Hungary and are ready to perform in-situ measurements (optical and water constituents measurements) during the Landsat-8 and HICO satellite acquisitions and APEX airborne hyperspectral acquisitions between 9 and 28 July 2014 together with the local partners from the Balaton Limnological Research Institute and the Central-Transdanubian Water Directorate
